Finish the Rupununi Map Before Paving
Paving the Georgetown-Lethem Road continues toward the Rupununi, but no permit agency has to check a regional plan first. Region 9 has a plan that two governments have left in place, and villages have mapped their lands many times. Two steps could limit damage without legal changes: controls for the road’s area of influence and a public permit register.
